Teachers, together with their students, push through with their preparations for the opening of classes on July 29, 2024 with limited activities such as cleaning, repainting, and repairing of classroom, chairs, and other classroom materials, and enrolment, sectioning, and scheduling of classes.

In an interview, Mrs. Analiza R. Lazaro, Grade 9 adviser, shared her accomplishments so far for the Brigada Eskwela week.

"During this year's Brigada Eskwela, we repaired classrooms, cleaned the school grounds, painted walls, and improved the school facilities. Additionally, we received cash donations as well as cleaning materials and installed safety measures to ensure a better learning environment for our students."

Mrs. Lazaro also stated the importance of Brigada Eskwela.

"Continuing Brigada Eskwela despite bad weather is important to ensure that the school is ready and safe for students. It fosters community spirit, prepares the school environment, and emphasizes the value of education and resilience."

In addition, SSLG Officer Samuel Arthur G. Domingo expressed the determination of the SSLG Officers to participate in the activities despite the bad weather conditions since day 1 of Brigada Eskwela.

"The weather has nothing to do with hearts of the Brigada heroes. And as an SSLG officer, I think that our simple sacrifices can contribute big to our fellow traders."

Brigada Eskwela is an annual program launched by DepEd where school administrators, teachers, and volunteers from various community groups join forces to prepare classrooms and school facilities for the upcoming school year. This year's Brigada Eskwela is set on July 22-27, 2024.
