Some 131 participants from SDNTS stakeholders like the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and SDNTS Alumni along with the faculty and staff and the members of the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) joined the motorcade before the opening program that paraded around Brgy. Baloc, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija.

During the kick off ceremony, Mrs. Shirley H. Catacutan, Head Teacher VI of Science, AP and ESP Department, advised and reminded the attendees about the importance of collaboration in order to attain a clean environment.

“Tulong tulong tayo, may collaboration at tayo’y magiging matatag kung tayo’y sama-sama at magkakaroon ng pagsulong, kung may pagtulong,” she stated.

Mrs. Liza P. Reyes, Head Teacher III of the Mathematics Department, also gave a message of support. In her speech she recalled the origin of bayanihan.

“Namalas ko po ang bayanihan, yung mga nagtutulungan magbuhat ng mga bahay kubo sa kanilang bisig, kaya ganoon din dapat tayo, kung maglinis, kung magpipinta, sama sama tayo, yon po ang tinatawag na collaboration,” she said.

After their messages, the signing of the commitment wall took place led by the Head Teachers of SDNTS.

Finally, Mr. Rodney Joven, Head Teacher III of the MAPEH Department, delivered the closing remarks in which he reminded everyone about the significance of preparedness.

“Ang purpose ng brigada ay maihanda ang paaralan sa pasukan. Dito sa ating paaralan, handang-handa na tayo..." he emphasized.

Mr. Julius Grospe, Mathematics teacher, took pride in the dedication of everyone in serving the school despite the rainy weather.

“Hindi mapipigil ng ulan o ng ano pa mang bagyo ang magandang hangarin at masidhing pagbabayanihan ng mga stakeholders bilang paghahanda sa muling pagbubukas ng mga paaralan para sa taong panuruang 2024-2025. Sama-sama, tulong-tulong, hawak-kamay at magkakaakbay tayong lahat na magkaisa para sa kapakanan ng lahat ng mag-aaral.”

Brigada Eskwela will last for the whole week from July 22-27, 2024 to prepare the classrooms and learning spaces to be comfortable environments conducive to learning for the school year 2024-2025.
